Quantitative Assesment

TCO and ROI studies

Today, business decision makers—whether small business owners, financial or line-of-business managers—are likely to have the final say in whether or not an SMB invests in a new technology solution. Most SMBs have many different areas in which they could apply technology solutions for business benefit—in fact, they’re probably overwhelmed with so many choices that its hard to figure out which will provide them with the best return to their top and bottom lines.

Our TCO and ROI studies provide these decision makers with critical metrics that help you make cut through the noise with a detailed analysis of costs and/or return-on-investment. For example, how does the TCO for a SaaS financials solution compare to a similar on-premise financials offering? Or, what are the direct and indirect cost, time and productivity return-on-investment from deploying a managed service solution? These studies give decision makers the information they need to better assess the business value of a solution.

This includes capital investments in hardware and software, maintenance and management costs (both initially and ongoing basis). Measurable benefits include cost and time savings by implementing solutions, and productivity improvements.

Case Study Example - TCO/ROI analysis of solutions
A SaaS-based financial solutions company wanted to provide its prospects a comprehensive assessment on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of its solutions compared to a similar on-premise solution. We spoke to several customers of each type of solution to develop a comprehensive framework to illuminate the financial comparison between these two alternatives for SMB business decision makers.
